About Tamu

Known for West Loop’s Michelin-starred omakase Mako and Lincoln Park’s neighborhood sushi temple Juno, Chef BK Park announces his latest concept, Tamu.

Imagined as a neighborhood restaurant with fellow sushi chef Joon Kim (previously Juno and Mako), Tamu (たむ meaning ‘multiple dreams’) is a Japanese restaurant that contains two concepts: a 10-seat sushi bar offering classic and signature temaki (hand rolls), alongside a central 10-seat table service area offering a ‘roll-it-yourself’ temaki selection, small plates and kaisendon (Japanese bowls consisting of rice and fish).

The second concept is an 8-seat nigiri focused omakase that is served in the semi-private back room and was created to be a less-formal, shorter format experience.
